Sometimes it’s okay to put all your eggs in one basket.
We’ve been taught to play it safe—to have a backup plan, to spread ourselves thin, to never risk too much on one dream. And while there’s wisdom in being prepared, there are moments in life when the greatest growth comes from choosing one path wholeheartedly.
Sometimes the dream is worth the risk.
Sometimes the calling is so clear that it asks for all of you—not half-hearted effort or one foot out the door, but complete trust. It’s terrifying to bet on yourself, to chase something that isn’t guaranteed, to leave behind what’s comfortable for what could be extraordinary. But faith has never been about guarantees. It’s about moving forward even when you can’t see the whole road.
Dream big. Do the thing that scares you. Apply for the opportunity that feels out of reach. Start the business. Write the book. Love deeply. Build the life you keep imagining when no one else is listening.
There will always be voices telling you to be more practical, more cautious, more realistic. Listen to wisdom, but don’t let fear disguise itself as wisdom. Some opportunities only reveal themselves when you commit completely.
Putting all your eggs in one basket isn’t about being reckless. It’s about believing that some baskets are worth carrying with both hands.
If it doesn’t work out, you’ll learn, you’ll adapt, and you’ll begin again. But if you never try because you’re too afraid to risk it, you’ll always wonder what might have happened if you had trusted yourself.
So if your heart is pulling you toward something bigger, don’t let fear be the deciding voice.
Sometimes faith looks like taking the leap before you know exactly where you’ll land.
And sometimes, the biggest risk becomes the beginning of the life you were meant to live.
